About Us
Where our paws firmly stand
Supporting our feline friends
Supporting Our Feline Friends with Compassion and Kindness
At Project Meow, we are a dedicated Geelong-based, officially registered Australian charity committed to tackling cat overpopulation through kindness, compassion, and sustainable solutions.
Our mission is to provide low-cost and free desexing services to cats in the City of Greater Geelong, prioritising households on low incomes or those caring for cats at risk of breeding.
We believe that with the right support and education, our community can reduce suffering, prevent unwanted litters, and give every cat the life they deserve.
Our Values
Our work is guided by seven core values that shape everything we do:
- Kindness in Action – Every life matters. We act with kindness in every step we take, from community education to supporting carers and their cats.
- Compassion with Understanding – We don’t just see the problem—we understand it. Whether it’s a struggling pet owner or an overwhelmed rescue group, we lead with empathy.
- Responsible Guardianship – Cats are not disposable. We promote desexing, microchipping, and lifelong care to ensure every cat is wanted and safe.
- Education for Change – Knowledge is powerful. We help the community understand the impact of overpopulation and how simple actions can make a difference.
- Sustainable Solutions – We’re not about quick fixes. We invest in long-term, ethical strategies that reduce overpopulation and pressure on rescue systems.
- Collaboration for Impact – We believe real change happens when we work together. Rescuers, vets, councils, carers—everyone has a role in building a stronger, more compassionate network.
- Balance Between Cats & Wildlife – Cats and native species both matter. We support responsible practices that help both coexist safely and respectfully.

Meet the Directors
At the heart of Project Meow are three women driven by compassion, commitment, and a shared mission: to make life better for cats and their communities.
Each brings their own experience and perspective to the work we do – but they’re united by the same belief:
Change starts with kindness
